Cabinet Refacing

NuWood Cabinets not only builds custom cabinets, but we also reface existing cabinets. Cabinet refacing is the process in which we remove existing doors, drawers and hardware, and replace them with all new doors, drawers and hardware. We use soft-close, full-extension drawer runners in our drawers to give you a clean, smooth glide.

Cabinet refacing options:

  • Painted Doors and Drawer Fronts: After selecting the door and drawer styles you would like for your cabinets, NuWood Cabinets can paint them to match the existing frames. Sometimes a painter is necessary if you want the frames painted as well, as that is something we do not do.
  • Stained Doors and Drawer Fronts: Once door and drawer styles are selected, we can stain-to-match the new doors and drawer fronts to the existing cabinets.

There are many benefits of refacing your cabinets:

  • Economical: refacing is typically cheaper than building custom cabinets. To determine whether or not to reface your cabinets, look at the integrity of the frames and boxes. If the frames and boxes are still in good condition, then it would be more economical to reface them.
  • New Design: a cabinet reface allows you to change the style of your doors and update the stain or paint color, giving your kitchen, bathroom or other cabinetry a fresh, new look. There is a variety of options when it comes to the different door profiles, as well as staining and painting these doors and drawer fronts.
  • Time: instead of tearing out existing cabinets, we remove the existing doors and drawers during a reface. We replace them with our new doors and drawers, which allows for a faster install than a full kitchen. However, we occasionally experience unforeseen problems, which may add time to the installation.

Whether you need kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, cabinet refacing, or a custom project, NuWood Cabinets delivers high-end American craftsmanship and upscale design at affordable prices. We work throughout the Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha metropolitan areas.
